Responsibilities of Department:
- To audit as per the prescribed provisions under the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act, 1949
- Submission of Report of Annual Receipt and Expenditure to the Hon. Standing Committee.
- Coordinating between Office of the Hon. Accountant General, Hon. The Director, Local Fund Audit and various departments of the Municipal Corporation.
- To act as per the instructions given by the Hon. General Assembly and Hon. Standing Committee from time to time.
- Supervising and controlling the actions and functions of the Auditors, Assistant Auditors, Clerical staff subject to the orders of the Hon. Standing Committee.
